AGE To Be Honored on Nov 9 by Mass Energy

On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Mass Energy’s 29th Annual Meeting, Mass Energy will honor AGreen Energy with its Private Sector Leadership award for installing the first anaerobic digester project in Massachusetts.

Bill Jorgenson, founder and managing partner of AGreen Energy, launched the company in partnership with five MA dairy farms, New England Organics, a division of Casella Waste Management, and quasar energy group in 2007 to make farms sustainable through processing renewable energy from manure and processed organic foods.   AGreen’s digester process results in a zero-waste system that repurposes cow manure and food scraps from the food chain in an environmentally friendly way.  The modular systems are remotely controlled; fully permitted; inputs and outputs contracted with major food operations; and replicable to other farms and related businesses.
